Colby Donovan signs contract extension with Celtic until 2031

Celtic defender Colby Donovan has signed a long-term contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2031. The 20-year-old academy graduate has established himself as a regular first-team option under manager Martin O’Neill, particularly following injury struggles for Alistair Johnston.

Donovan made his senior debut in August 2025 and has since featured prominently in both domestic and European competitions. His performances have earned him recognition at the international level with the Scotland national team. Following the signing, Donovan expressed his excitement about his rapid progression, stating that he intends to continue his development at the club.
