Cold front brings cooler temperatures to Florida and Alabama Gulf Coast

A cold front is bringing cooler, drier weather to parts of the Southeastern United States.

In Florida, a cold front moving through the peninsula is expected to usher in an early taste of autumn. Temperatures are projected to dip into the 60s across much of east-central Florida, with lows in the mid-to-upper 60s expected in areas such as Orlando, Daytona Beach, and Leesburg. The front is also bringing northerly winds and drier air, which will likely reduce humidity and lower the chances of rain over the weekend.

Similarly, the Alabama Gulf Coast is forecasted to see a return to cooler mornings and seasonably warm afternoons, providing a reprieve from recent warm weather.
