Cold front expected to bring lower temperatures to Louisiana and Texas
A cold front is forecasted to arrive in Louisiana on Friday, bringing a significant drop in temperatures across the state. In northwestern Louisiana, the change is expected to begin late Thursday night, with the Shreveport/Bossier City area seeing cooler temperatures and north winds by Friday.
In South Louisiana, temperatures are projected to fall from the 90s into the upper 50s by Friday night, accompanied by blustery winds of 15 to 20 mph. The frontal system is expected to progress through the I-10 corridor in the early hours of Friday morning. While the front will bring cooler weather, forecasters note a lack of moisture, which may increase fire danger.
