In Chile's La Araucanía region, the municipality of Temuco activated a preventive plan as a frontal weather system brings heavy rain and winds exceeding 50 km/h. Authorities warned residents not to overload electric, paraffin or wood heaters to lower the risk of fires and accidents. The city will dispatch monitoring teams from 06:00 on Tuesday, advise the public to avoid large trees and power lines during high winds, and provided emergency numbers (132 for fires, 1409 for floods) for rapid response.
