Coldiretti Cuneo to showcase regional produce in San Rocco Castagnaretta

Coldiretti Cuneo will showcase the fruit and vegetable excellence of the Granda region at the “Città di Cuneo” Regional Horticultural Exhibition in San Rocco Castagnaretta from September 11 to 13. The sector represented by this exhibition is valued at over 400 million euros.

Despite a complex growing season marked by late March cold waves, heatwaves, and sporadic hail, the 2026 productions are noted for high organoleptic quality. While productivity for several species, particularly vegetables, has been reduced, specific results vary: blueberries and certain strawberries had a positive season, while cherries, apricots, peaches, and plums showed good productivity and quality. Apple production in the province is expected to remain stable, contrasting with a 16% decline across Europe.

Paolo Quaranta, President of Coldiretti Cuneo, emphasized the need for market recognition through remunerative prices and punctual payments to allow farmers to continue investing in quality production.
