Japanese band coldrain has released a new single titled ‘POISON’, featuring Bert McCracken of the American band The Used. The track is the seventh song from the band’s upcoming eighth full-length album, ‘OPTIMIZE = OPTDEMISE’.

The new album is scheduled for release on September 25 via Century Media Records. According to vocalist Masato, ‘POISON’ explores themes of love and desire, specifically the addictive nature of affection and the struggle to maintain balance within a relationship.

The upcoming album will include previously released singles such as ‘INCOMPLETE’, ‘CHASING SHADOWS’, ‘FREE FALL’, and ‘EX-HUMANITY’.
