Cole Beaudoin recalled by New York Rangers for NHL debut

The New York Rangers have recalled 20-year-old forward prospect Cole Beaudoin from the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack. Beaudoin is set to make his NHL debut on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden in a game against the New York Islanders.

Beaudoin joins the roster following a lower-body injury to fourth-line center Joe Veleno. To facilitate the recall and manage the salary cap, the Rangers assigned defenseman Matthew Robertson to Hartford after he cleared waivers on Tuesday.

Beaudoin enters the NHL after a strong start to his professional career, recording five points (one goal and four assists) in his first two games with Hartford. He was previously acquired by the Rangers from the Utah Mammoth as part of the Vincent Trocheck trade. During his junior career with the Barrie Colts, Beaudoin served as captain and recorded 91 goals and 221 points over four seasons.
