Paramount+ renews Dutton Ranch for Season 2

Paramount+ officially confirmed on June 24 that the Yellowstone spinoff Dutton Ranch will return for a second season. The series follows Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) as they rebuild their lives in South Texas after a devastating fire in Montana, confronting a ruthless rival ranch led by Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening). Season 1 premiered on May 15, 2026, wrapped on July 3, 2026 and set a streaming record for the platform with 12.9 million global views in its first seven days – the biggest original‑series launch in Paramount+ history – and 2.9 million total cable viewers for the two‑episode debut.

The renewal was announced alongside quotes from Jane Wiseman, Head of Originals for Paramount+, who said “Beth and Rip are among the most iconic duos in television history,” and Matt Thunell, President of Paramount Television Studios, who added that the show “has resonated with audiences in a powerful way.” Produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios with Taylor Sheridan as executive producer, the series was showrun by Chad Feehan for season 1; a new showrunner will be appointed for season 2, which is expected to launch in spring 2027.
