Cole Hauser transformed his appearance for Yellowstone role

Actor Cole Hauser underwent a significant physical transformation to portray the character Rip Wheeler in the television series ‘Yellowstone’. To achieve the necessary look for the ranch foreman, Hauser deliberately gained approximately 20 pounds to appear more physically intimidating and believable as a strong, country-dwelling man.

Hauser’s career trajectory changed significantly with this role. Despite his team initially suggesting he pursue a role as one of the Dutton sons, Hauser felt drawn to Rip Wheeler. Although the character had limited screen time in the pilot episode, the role became a career-defining success due to unexpected audience popularity.
