Cole Houshmand and Erin Brooks win Fiji Pro at Cloudbreak

Cole Houshmand and Erin Brooks secured their third career World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour victories at the Fiji Pro at Cloudbreak.

In the men’s division, American Cole Houshmand defeated Brazil’s Gabriel Medina in a high-stakes final. Despite Medina earning a perfect 10-point ride during the heat, Houshmand’s strategic approach and powerful surfing allowed him to secure the win. The victory significantly boosts Houshmand’s world rankings, moving him up ten spots and improving his chances of remaining in the elite tier.

In the women’s division, Canadian Erin Brooks was declared the winner after Isabella Nichols was forced to withdraw from the final due to an ankle injury sustained during the semi-finals. This marks Brooks’ second consecutive win this season.
