Cole Knuble makes NHL debut with Philadelphia Flyers

Cole Knuble made his NHL debut on Monday night with the Philadelphia Flyers in a game against the Colorado Avalanche. The 22-year-old winger, a fourth-round pick in the 2023 draft, was called up from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League to fill roster spots left by injured forwards Owen Tippett, Tyson Foerster, and Travis Konecny.

Knuble is the son of former NHL player Mike Knuble, who played over 1,000 games and had multiple stints with the Flyers. The debut marks the first time a father-son duo has played for the Philadelphia franchise. Cole Knuble expressed that playing for the team he grew up supporting made the milestone “extra special.”
