Colectiva Hilos launches software for missing persons search posters
Colectiva Hilos has developed an open-access software designed to facilitate the creation and reproduction of search posters for missing persons. The digital tool allows users to organize multiple files, reduce printing costs, and adapt layouts for various search and dissemination needs.
The project originated from the Guadalajara-based Colectiva Hilos and the Mexico City-based Sangre de mi Sangre collective. The initiative was prompted by activists observing deteriorated search notices in public spaces. The software automates the production of printable files containing images and identifying data, making it easier to distribute information in public areas and digital forums. The code and instructions are available via the Colectiva Hilos website.
