Colegio de la Abogacía de La Plata endorses Lista 1 for upcoming elections

The leadership of the Colegio de la Abogacía de La Plata (CALP) has announced its support for Lista 1, Abogacía Federal, in the upcoming elections for the National Council of the Magistracy (Consejo de la Magistratura de la Nación). The election is scheduled for October 20, with voting taking place at the CALP headquarters from 9:00 to 18:00.

Key proposals from the Abogacía Federal list include establishing a professional lounge for federal jurisdiction at the 8 y 50 building and streamlining the registration process so that lawyers can enroll in the federal jurisdiction simultaneously with their CALP registration at no additional cost. Other initiatives include providing free tokens, prorated registration fees, and specialized training on the accusatory system in Federal Justice.

The coalition supporting Lista 1 consists of 12 groups, including Abogacía Activa, Abogar, Abogadas para la Igualdad, FAJUS, UAJ, Compromiso Profesional, Espacio I Profesionales, Generación Nuevo Derecho, Letra Viva, Nueva Abogacía La Plata, Profesionales por la Justicia Social, and Propuesta Colegial. The candidates for the list are Fernando Pablo Levene, Sandra Silvina Paris, Eduardo Daniel Awad, and Myriam Beatriz Londero.
