Colegio María Auxiliadora in Puno faces water shortage

The María Auxiliadora Integrated Educational Institution in Puno has been facing a water shortage since August 12. The crisis affects more than 2,000 students across initial, primary, and secondary levels.

School director Jenny Cuba stated that the institution is currently relying on water tankers to maintain basic hygiene and essential activities. While the school has formally requested assistance from EMSAPUNO, the supply provided via tankers has been insufficient for the large student population. The shortage is reportedly linked to works in the Totorani area and low service pressure, though a definitive date for the restoration of continuous service has not been provided by the utility company.
