Colette: Cultural tributes to the French author in 2026

The legacy of French author Colette is being highlighted through various cultural events and media in 2026. The Jardins de Colette in Varetz will participate in the European Heritage Days on September 19-20, 2026. The gardens are implementing climate change adaptation measures, such as late mowing and specific replanting initiatives, to preserve the site's living heritage.

Additionally, the France 5 magazine “Colette, une vie de délices” explores the author's life, focusing on her childhood home in Saint-Sauveur-en-Puisaye. This residence, which has served as a museum since 2016, provides insight into the natural surroundings that influenced her literary work.
