Colgate and Bryant men's soccer teams play to 1-1 draw

Colgate University and Bryant University men's soccer teams played to a 1-1 draw on Sunday, September 6, in Smithfield, Rhode Island.

Bryant took the lead early in the second half when Fermin Rodriguez scored at the 45:54 mark following an assist from Ilay Krespi. Despite Bryant dominating the statistics with 32 shots compared to Colgate's 3, the score remained 1-0 heading into the final minutes.

Colgate equalized in the 77th minute when Ryan Schachter scored from approximately 30 yards out. Colgate goalkeeper Gavin Vichengrad, making his collegiate debut after being subbed on in the 49th minute, recorded eight saves to help preserve the tie. Bryant maintains an 18-match unbeaten streak in regular-season non-conference games.
