Colgate-Palmolive and Mondelez report growth in Latin American markets

Colgate-Palmolive exceeded market expectations in the third quarter of 2026, reporting a net profit of US$ 751 million. The company raised its full-year guidance following growth driven by both increased sales volumes and price adjustments. Sales rose 4.6% year-over-year to US$ 5.37 billion. Latin America was a primary driver of this growth, with net sales in the region jumping 13%, including performance in Brazil. This contrasted with North America, which saw a 1.7% decline in sales.

Mondelez International also reported third-quarter results, noting a 12% increase in net revenue in Latin America to US$ 1.39 billion. While the company saw volume and mix improvements across much of the region, Brazil's chocolate segment had previously faced challenges due to price adjustments and packaging changes. Mondelez executives expect sales volumes in Brazil to accelerate as the company moves past the previous year's price hikes and expands its distribution, which currently reaches over 1 million stores in the country.
