The band from Colégio Municipal Dr. José Vargas de Souza has won the general bicampionship of the Campeonato Mineiro de Bandas e Fanfarras in Guaxupé. Competing against 15 groups from various regions of Minas Gerais, the ensemble achieved a unique feat by becoming both champion and runner-up in different categories during the same competition.

This victory secures the group a spot in the Campeonato Brasileiro de Bandas e Fanfarras, scheduled for November in João Pessoa, Paraíba. This achievement follows a successful year for the group, which also includes a bicampionship in the Copa América de Bandas e Fanfarras.
