Colima announces technology week and youth sports initiatives
The Government of Colima has announced two upcoming community initiatives focused on technology and physical activity.
The fourth edition of ‘Race to the Top: Technology Week’ is scheduled for October 22 and 23 at the Allegra Convention Center. Organized by the Secretariat of Economic Development and the State Council of Science and Technology, the free event will feature conferences, workshops, and the ‘Impact Pitch Challenge.’ Topics include artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. The event aims to make science and technology accessible to all age groups, including students, professionals, and families.
Additionally, the Colima Sports Institute (Incode) is hosting ‘Día Ponte Pila’ on September 25 at the ‘José María Morelos y Pavón’ sports unit. This free program offers sports and recreational activities for children aged six to twelve during the school technical council suspension. The initiative seeks to promote physical activity and healthy leisure time through various organized exercises.
