Colima government distributes 2,000 menstrual management products
The Government of Colima has distributed nearly 2,000 menstrual management products to support youth welfare and promote menstrual dignity. The initiative concluded the 2026 Youth Week activities by providing 5 institutional kits and 47 individual kits to 122 menstruating individuals at the ‘Érika Alejandra Núñez Ayala’ female Center for Recovery and Rehabilitation of Alcoholics and Drug Addicts (CRREAD).
The supplies, which include day and night sanitary pads, pantyliners, and tampons, were allocated to several organizations, including Alma Atención con Logoterapia en el Manejo de las Adicciones A. C., Una Mano a un Hermano, San Miguel Rompiendo Cadenas Siglo XXI, Careadic Femenil, and various CRREAD female facilities in Villa de Álvarez and Colima. The distribution was led by officials from the Secretariat of Welfare, Social Inclusion and Women (Sebiinsom) and the Secretariat of Health.
