Colima government supports Mexican youth beach handball team

The government of Colima, led by Governor Indira Vizcaíno Silva, is supporting the Mexican women's youth beach handball national preselection team during their training camp. The technical-sports camp is being held from August 22 to August 29 at the “José María Morelos y Pavón” sports unit.

The fifteen athletes, representing the states of Aguascalientes, Colima, Chihuahua, Jalisco, and Nuevo León, are preparing for the Youth Olympic Games in Senegal this October. In the tournament, they will compete in a group against China, Spain, and Croatia.

Alejandro Rodríguez Alvarado, director general of the Colima Sports Institute (Incode), stated that the governor's mandate is to provide full support during the camp. The training includes two daily sessions to finalize preparations for the international competition.
