Colima Governor inaugurates sports facilities and expands education programs

Colima Governor Indira Vizcaíno Silva has inaugurated new sports infrastructure in Tecomán as part of a national social program. The project includes a football 7 pitch at the Unidad Deportiva Sur and a football 5 pitch in the Real del Bosque residential area. These facilities feature synthetic grass, professional lighting, perimeter fencing, and drainage systems.

In addition to infrastructure developments, the administration is focusing on public education through the ‘ColiBecas’ program. This initiative aims to reduce school dropout rates by providing universal support, including uniforms, school supplies, and computers for secondary and higher education students. The program also covers 100% of enrollment and re-enrollment fees for higher education students. Furthermore, the creation of the ‘Campus Griselda Álvarez’ will expand university capacity to accommodate approximately 900 students in the Faculty of Economics.
