Colima-Manzanillo Logistics Corridor to charge only heavy vehicles

The Government of Colima, through the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Urban Development and Mobility (Seidum), has clarified that toll fees on the Colima-Manzanillo Logistics Corridor will apply exclusively to heavy vehicles and freight transport. Light vehicles will be exempt from tolls on the Manzanillo-Armería and Armería-Colima highways, as well as the new Colima South Macro Bypass.

To address misinformation on social media, authorities specified that a single unified collection point will exist at the current Cuyutlán toll booth for the Manzanillo-Armería and Armería-Colima stretches. Additionally, the Colima South Macro Bypass will not charge light vehicles. Regional freight transport is also excluded from these fees.

The infrastructure projects are being carried out through coordination between the concessionaire Pinfra, the federal Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT), and the state government. The works aim to expand highways to six lanes to improve safety and mobility between Manzanillo, Colima, and the rest of the country.
