Colima to host 5th Colima Birding Festival in November

The Colima State Government, through its Undersecretariat of Tourism (Subsectur), has announced the 5th Colima Birding Festival, scheduled to take place from November 4 to 7 at the ‘La Campana’ ecological park.

The event aims to promote nature tourism and biodiversity conservation by bringing together birdwatchers, specialists, photographers, students, and guides. The festival will feature six guided routes across various ecosystems in the municipalities of Comala, Manzanillo, Minatitlán, Cuauhtémoc, and Ixtlahuacán.

Colima boasts over 470 registered bird species, including 46 endemic to Mexico. The program includes environmental education for children, nocturnal fauna observation tours, and a special film screening of ‘Migrando con el viento’. Additionally, academic sessions, photographic exhibitions, and panels will be held at Café Casa Volcán in the Magic Town of Comala.
