Colin Hilton, Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation CEO, dies at 58

Colin Hilton, the president and CEO of the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation, has died at his home at age 58. A prominent figure in Utah’s winter sports community, Hilton was a veteran of the organizing committee for the 2002 Winter Olympics.

During his tenure, Hilton oversaw the management of key venues including the Utah Olympic Park, the Soldier Hollow Nordic Center, and the Utah Olympic Oval. He was instrumental in revitalizing the Utah Olympic Park and developing subsidized housing for athletes and coaches through the Residences at Utah Olympic Park.

Hilton also played a significant role in the successful bid to bring the 2034 Winter Olympics back to Salt Lake City. Brad Wilson, CEO of Utah 2034, expressed heartbreak over the loss, noting that Hilton’s decades of dedication helped transform the legacy of the 2002 Games into a thriving resource for athletes and local communities.
