Collecchio hosts teacher training for autism and learning disability inclusion

A training course titled ‘Tools for Inclusion and Classroom Management’ was recently held in Collecchio to improve support for students with Specific Learning Disabilities (DSA) and Autism Spectrum Disorder. The initiative was organized by the South-East socio-sanitary district in collaboration with Mind4Children, a research spin-off from the University of Padua under the scientific direction of Professor Daniela Lucangeli.

Approximately 90 teachers from nursery, elementary, and middle schools participated in the two-day program. The curriculum included lectures by Dr. Valeria Voli and Dr. Silvia Poletti, focusing on identifying early signs of difficulty and effective classroom management. The program emphasized creating a cohesive support network between teachers, therapists, and educators to foster better inclusion and timely specialist referrals for families.
