College football players receive weekly honors following standout performances

Aiden Flora of Iowa State has received multiple honors following a standout performance in a 55-7 victory over Bowling Green. Flora was named to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll and selected as the Burlsworth Trophy Walk-On of the Week. During the game, he recorded 296 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns, including a 66-yard punt return and two rushing scores. He is the first player in Big 12 history to record two rushing touchdowns, a punt return touchdown, and at least 275 all-purpose yards in a single game.

In the Missouri Valley Football Conference, Indiana State players Alex Rose, Aaron Ball, and Andy Hertlein were named Players of the Week. Rose earned Defensive Player of the Week honors after leading a defense that held Valparaiso to negative seven rushing yards. Aaron Ball was recognized as the Newcomer of the Week after rushing for a career-high 182 yards and a 58-yard touchdown in Indiana State's 39-16 win over Valparaiso. Offensive lineman Andy Hertlein was also honored as the Valley Offensive Lineman of the Week.
