College football: UW-La Crosse drops in rankings as Wisconsin misses bowl projections

The UW-La Crosse football team has dropped 10 spots in the Top 25 rankings following an 0-2 start to the 2026 season. The Eagles lost close contests to No. 8 Saint John’s (24-21) and Hardin-Simmons (28-20). Despite the losses, quarterback Kyle Haas moved into second place on the program’s all-time career completions list with 451 completions.

Meanwhile, the Wisconsin Badgers have started their season with a 1-1 record after a loss to Notre Dame and a win over Western Illinois.
