College men's soccer season begins with Bryant and Northeastern openers

The 2026 men's college soccer season begins this week with several key matchups. Bryant University, ranked No. 10, will host UMass at Beirne Stadium in Smithfield, Rhode Island, on Thursday, August 20. Bryant enters the season following a successful 2025 campaign where they finished 17-2-3 and reached the NCAA Tournament third round.

Meanwhile, Northeastern University will start its season on the road. The Huskies are scheduled to face Holy Cross in Worcester on August 20, followed by a game against Stonehill on August 23. Northeastern's roster features seven freshmen and will look to build on previous matchups against both opponents.
