College men's soccer teams prepare for conference matchups
The No. 21 Oregon State men's soccer team is beginning a home stand this week, hosting San Diego State on Wednesday and UC Riverside on Saturday. These matches represent the Beavers' first two Pac-12 conference games of the year as part of a new soccer partnership between the Pac-12 and the Big West.
Oregon State currently leads the Pac-12 in total goals and assists. The team features several conference leaders, including Wyatt Borso for goals and multiple players tied for the lead in assists. Goalkeeper John Nicolson also leads the conference with 29 saves.
Meanwhile, the Saint Mary's men's soccer team is heading to the Pacific Northwest for West Coast Conference action. Following a five-match unbeaten streak, the Gaels are scheduled to play Portland on Wednesday, September 30, and Seattle U on Saturday night.
Saint Mary's enters the week looking for its first WCC victory of the season after recently securing a 1-1 draw against San Francisco.
