College men's soccer teams secure draws in non-conference play

In recent men's college soccer action, both California University of Pennsylvania and San Diego State secured draws in non-conference play.

California University of Pennsylvania rallied to a 2-2 tie against Shippensburg despite significant disciplinary challenges. After Filip Bartwas received a red card in the 21st minute, the Vulcans fell behind 2-0. Seth Basinger converted two penalty kicks in the 60th and 76th minutes to level the score. Following his second goal, Basinger was also issued a red card, forcing the Vulcans to finish the match with only nine players.

San Diego State earned a 1-1 draw against Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. After 85 minutes of scoreless play, the teams traded goals within a 36-second window. Nik Orth scored for the Aztecs in the 85th minute following an assist from Gio Aguirre. Cal Poly responded immediately with a header from Devin Bening. San Diego State goalkeeper Nic Diana recorded five saves to help secure the result.
