College of Charleston Executive MBA Shows Measurable Leadership Gains

The College of Charleston Executive MBA (EMBA), in partnership with Wisdom Works Group, released research on its inaugural 18‑month cohort. Using 360‑degree assessments, self‑reports and executive coach observations, the study found a 12‑point increase in leadership effectiveness, a 20.8‑point rise in leadership potential utilization and a 16.7‑point boost in balancing people and performance. Participants, who continued full‑time employment while studying, also showed growth in thriving capacity, including higher energizing of others, work engagement, emotional capacity and life satisfaction.

Program director Ron Magnuson said, “Our program was intentionally designed for working professionals who continue to work full‑time while they are in the program.” Wisdom Works CEO Renee Moorefield added that the results demonstrate how “executives intentionally build the inner capacity to thrive alongside their leadership capabilities, creating meaningful change that others can see and experience.”
