College soccer: Norwich and NYU secure shutout victories

In recent men's college soccer action, both Norwich University and New York University secured shutout victories.

Norwich University defeated Colby-Sawyer College 3-0 at Sabine Field. Alessandro D'Arena opened the scoring in the 32nd minute following a solo effort by Jacob Salisbury. Miles Bergeson later doubled the lead with a penalty kick in the 64th minute, and Daniel Hennessey added an insurance goal in the 85th minute. Goalkeeper Victor Kalorin recorded his second shutout of the season.

New York University earned a 2-0 win against Vassar College at Lubetkin Field. Demir Calkap scored the first goal by capitalizing on a rebound, and Tim Brdaric extended the lead following a corner kick. The victory extends NYU's unbeaten run to eight consecutive matches, the program's second-longest start to a season since 2012.
