College soccer results: Norwich and UMass secure postseason victories

In collegiate soccer action, Norwich University and UMass secured critical victories to advance in their respective postseason paths.

Norwich University men's soccer defeated Albertus Magnus College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Quarterfinal. Following a 1-1 draw through 110 minutes of play, the Cadets won a 7-6 penalty shootout to reach the GNAC Semifinals for the second consecutive year. Cristian Habiniak scored the equalizer for Norwich in the 63rd minute.

The UMass women's soccer team completed a late comeback against Eastern Michigan, winning 2-1. After trailing for most of the match, UMass scored an equalizer in the 87th minute via Amanda Schultz. Amelia Deren then converted a penalty kick with only four seconds remaining in regulation. The win secured the No. 2 seed for UMass in the Mid-American Conference Championships, granting them a bye into the semifinals.
