College Swimming League debuts with Stanford hosting Auburn and Ohio State

The inaugural College Swimming League (CSL) season begins this Friday at Stanford’s Avery Aquatics Center. The event features Match #3 of the new league, where Stanford will host Auburn, California, and Ohio State.

The CSL is a new competition format featuring 12 teams. Each match consists of 30 events—15 for men and 15 for women—with points awarded based on finishing positions. The regular season includes six matches, after which the top three schools qualify directly for the Championship match, while teams ranked fourth through seventh compete in a Wild Card match for the final championship spot.

Stanford enters the season following two consecutive years as the national runner-up. The upcoming meet will be broadcast on ESPN+.
