College volleyball players earn weekly honors

Fresno Pacific University volleyball setter Mikayla Weiss has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Setter of the Week for the second consecutive week. Weiss led the team to a 4-0 weekend at the Denali Ice Block Classic, earning Tournament MVP honors. During the tournament, she recorded 181 assists, 31 kills, and 32 digs, including a career-high 62 assists in a comeback victory against Alaska Anchorage. Her performance helped Fresno Pacific reach a Top 5 national ranking, the highest in the program's Division II era.

At Pacific Lutheran University, Macy Matsushima and Julissa Pernsteiner earned Northwest Conference weekly honors. Matsushima was named Defensive Player of the Week after recording 101 digs and 13 aces over five matches. Pernsteiner was named Offensive Player of the Week, leading her team with 47 kills and 14 blocks during the same period.
