College volleyball teams face five-set losses in Texas

Two collegiate volleyball teams in Denton, Texas, suffered narrow defeats in five-set matches on Friday night.

Texas Woman's University (TWU) fell to Lubbock Christian with a final score of 3-2. After winning the first set 25-20, the Pioneers surrendered two consecutive sets before winning a dominant fourth set 25-16. Lubbock Christian ultimately secured the match by winning the fifth set 17-15.

The University of North Texas (UNT) also lost in five sets, falling to Rice with scores of 25-27, 21-25, 25-23, 25-17, and 13-15. Despite a strong third and fourth set performance, UNT was unable to overcome Rice in the final frame. The loss brings UNT's overall record to 10-10.
