College volleyball: UTSA begins conference play following winning streak

UTSA Volleyball is entering its fourth season of American Conference play following an eight-match winning streak. The Roadrunners, currently 9-2, are scheduled to host Tulane and Florida Atlantic at the Convocation Center in San Antonio for Alumni Weekend on September 25 and 27.

UTSA recently completed a road trip where they secured victories against HCU, Houston, and Texas State. Their win over Houston marked the program’s first victory against a Power Four opponent since 2018. During recent matches, Ally Tribe reached 500 career kills, and Megan Hawkins recorded her 500th career dig.

In Pac-12 action, the Washington State women's volleyball team opened play with a 3-0 sweep of Fresno State. The Cougars won the match with set scores of 28-26, 25-18, and 25-21, led by Audrey Hollis, who recorded 10 kills and 14 assists.
