Collegiate field hockey: Colgate and La Salle suffer losses

In recent collegiate field hockey action, both Colgate University and La Salle University suffered losses in their respective matchups.

Colgate University fell 3-2 to Lock Haven in its first road match of the season. After trailing 2-0 at halftime, the Raiders mounted a comeback in the third and fourth quarters. Goals from Alli Troth and Lauren Widdowson brought the deficit to just one goal in the final minutes, but Lock Haven secured the victory.

La Salle University lost to Penn with a final score of 7-1. Penn established an early lead with three goals in the first quarter. La Salle's Erin Sicari scored the team's only goal of the match. Despite the loss, La Salle goalkeeper Abby Boggs recorded 16 saves, maintaining her national lead in saves and saves per game.
