Collegiate men's soccer season openers feature St. Lawrence win and Siena draw

In collegiate men's soccer season openers, St. Lawrence University and Siena University recorded different results. St. Lawrence University secured a 2-0 victory over Plattsburgh State. Goalkeeper Zach Amato provided a shutout performance, making several key saves in the first half to maintain a scoreless tie. The Saints broke the deadlock in the 75th minute when Baker Diaz scored on a rebound following a shot by Nicholas Petrone.

Siena University played to a 3-3 draw against Northeastern University in its home opener. Alejandro Perez Jorda scored two goals in the final minutes of the first half to give Siena a 2-1 lead at halftime. Despite outshooting Northeastern 22-7, Siena was unable to hold the lead as Northeastern scored twice in the second half to equalize.
