Collegiate rowing teams compete at Head of the Riverfront

Collegiate rowing teams from Holy Cross and the University of Connecticut opened their fall seasons at the Head of the Riverfront on the Connecticut River.

The Holy Cross women's rowing team secured two medals during the event. Their 8+ A crew earned a silver medal in the Open 8+ with a time of 14:49.721, while the 4+ A crew took bronze in the 4+ event with a time of 16:36.016.

The University of Connecticut Huskies also competed, led by a fifth-place finish in the Women's Open 8+ and two crews placing within the top seven in the Women's Open 4+. Head coach Gordon Getsinger noted the event served as an opportunity to test progress made during early fall training.
