Collegiate soccer: Kansas State defeats SDSU as UTSA beats Saint Mary’s
In recent collegiate soccer action, South Dakota State University (SDSU) suffered its first loss of the season, falling 2-0 to Kansas State. The Jackrabbits, who began the season 3-0 and had outscored opponents 20-0, were forced to play with ten players for over three quarters after goalkeeper Mallorie Benhart received a red card following an obstruction call. The Roadrunners' win was driven by significant contributions from freshmen, including Lilli Denhardt, who scored her first collegiate goal in the 38th minute. UTSA currently holds a 2-0-2 record for the season.
