Collegiate soccer matches end in 1-1 draws

In recent collegiate soccer action, both Illinois State and New Mexico State played to 1-1 draws.

Illinois State secured a 1-1 draw against the Indiana State Sycamores during their Senior Day. After a scoreless first half aided by goalkeeper Maddi Valenti, Indiana State took the lead in the 62nd minute via Madison Ziebarth. Illinois State equalized late in the match when Sosi Dadekian converted a penalty kick following a video review. The result extends Illinois State’s home unbeaten streak to 15 games.

New Mexico State also recorded a 1-1 draw in their first-ever matchup against Missouri State. Lily DiBernardo scored for the Bears to lead at halftime, but New Mexico State freshman Filucca Daugaard equalized in the second half. The match saw increased intensity in the second period, with New Mexico State recording 10 shots to Missouri State's five.
