Collegiate soccer: MIT and UMass suffer losses
In recent men's collegiate soccer matchups, both MIT and UMass suffered defeats.
MIT lost 2-1 to Roger Williams at Bayside Field. Ollie Hamilton scored twice for Roger Williams, assisted by Dylan Robbins and Tyler Jastrab. Keegan Harrison scored a late goal for MIT in the 79th minute, but the Engineers were unable to equalize. MIT's Nicolas Santos-Shin made his first collegiate start, recording four saves.
UMass fell 2-0 to Princeton. The Minutemen were forced to play with a man disadvantage for most of the match after Taylon Gayle received a red card in the first half. Princeton's Jackson Martin opened the scoring in the first half, and freshman Julien Lacher doubled the lead early in the second half following a pass from Roka Tsunehara.
