Collegiate soccer programs begin new seasons with key matchups

Several major collegiate soccer programs are beginning their upcoming campaigns. Syracuse men's soccer opens its 2026 season against No. 24 UConn at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium. Syracuse features Kelvin Da Costa, who was named to the ACC Preseason Watch List, and sophomore midfielder Bryson Rodriguez. UConn enters the match with goalkeeper Kyle Durham, the preseason BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year.

In women's soccer, No. 2 Duke returns home to host FIU at Freeman Field at Koskinen Stadium. The Blue Devils, led by head coach Kieran Hallis, are looking to build on a season that included an NCAA College Cup appearance in 2025. Duke's Sam Courtwright recently earned TopDrawerSoccer National Team of the Week honors following a strong opening week.
