Collegiate swim teams compete in California championships

Collegiate swimming teams are participating in major competitions in California. The BYU swim team is scheduled for a doubleheader, traveling to the UC Santa Barbara Invite in Thousand Oaks followed by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Open Water Championships in Long Beach.

At the MPSF Open Water Championships held at the Marine Stadium in Long Beach, the Westmont Warriors competed in both the 5,000-meter race and the 2,000-meter relay. Westmont finished first among non-Division I schools in the 2,000-meter relay, with their A-relay team recording a time of 28 minutes flat to secure ninth place overall.
