Collegiate athletics update: Volleyball and tennis tournament results

Various collegiate athletic competitions concluded over the weekend, including several volleyball and tennis tournaments.

In volleyball, the Ohio University team secured a 3-1 victory over Mercyhurst during the Bobcat Invitational. Ohio also won their home opener against Morgan State with a 3-1 score. Meanwhile, UNC Asheville defeated Morgan State in four sets to finish the Bobcat Invitational with a 2-1 weekend record.

In a different matchup, the Miami University RedHawks volleyball team lost to Northern Kentucky in straight sets during their recent encounters.

In tennis, the University of Cincinnati hosted the annual UC/Pam Whitehead Invitational, where the Bearcats earned nine singles and nine doubles wins. Miami University's women's tennis team also competed in the invitational, recording four singles victories and three doubles wins.
