Collegiate volleyball: Northwestern and Georgia secure 3-1 victories

In collegiate volleyball action, Northwestern defeated Butler 3-1 in their home opener at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Bella Bullington led the Wildcats with a season-high 16 kills, while Lauren Dignan recorded 20 digs. The victory brings Northwestern's record to 3-3.

Separately, the University of Georgia volleyball team secured a 3-1 victory over Notre Dame at Stegeman Coliseum as part of the 2026 Showdown at the Net. Bianna Muoneke recorded a season-high 27 kills and 14 digs, tying a Georgia set record with nine kills in the first set. Georgia moves to a 4-2 season record.
