Collegiate women's golf: Ball State leads Brittany Kelly Classic
In collegiate women's golf, Ball State University holds a nine-stroke lead after two rounds of the Brittany Kelly Classic at The Players Club at Woodland Trails. The Cardinals posted a second-round score of -5 (283), tying the second-lowest 18-hole team score in the tournament's 24-year history. Freshman Taylor Larkins led the team with a -4 (68) in the second round, while several other players placed in the top 10 of the 91-player field.
Separately, the York College of Pennsylvania women's golf team secured first place at the Toftrees Invitational. Competing against eight other teams at the Toftrees Golf Resort, the Spartans finished with a 36-hole score of 672 (+104), ahead of second-place Seton Hill.
