Collegiate women's golf: NMU and Michigan results

In recent collegiate women's golf competitions, both Northern Michigan University (NMU) and the University of Michigan faced challenging conditions.

At the Warrior Invitational held at Orchards GC in Washington, Michigan, the NMU Wildcats finished ninth out of 14 teams with a three-round total of +129. Abbie Pietila led the Wildcats, tying for 26th place individually with a total of +25 and recording nine birdies throughout the tournament. Ashland took first place in the team competition, followed by Wayne State and Lewis.

Meanwhile, the Michigan Wolverines finished eighth out of 11 teams at the Canadian Collegiate Invitational. Facing fast, firm greens and crisp fall conditions, the team posted a total score of 927 (+63). Junior Thomasine Barthsoldson provided a standout performance for the Wolverines, tying for 11th place individually with a score of eight over par, marking her second consecutive top-15 finish to start the season. Virginia won the event at one over par.
